The glory of nature is reflected best in its remarkable palette of colours. With a gorgeous array to play with, it has created some truly spectacular miracles: diamonds that have captured the spirit and magic of nature’s brilliant colours within themselves. These diamonds are treasured for their purity and rarity, but also for their energy and playfulness, which comes from the vitality of their hues.

These coloured diamonds really are little miracles of Nature. The physical conditions needed to colour a diamond naturally occur very scarcely, which is why natural coloured diamonds are so rare. Diamonds are primarily made up of carbon molecules, however, when atomic elements, such as nitrogen or boron or manganese, are trapped within the crystal lattice, they impart colour. These particular conditions occur in parts of Africa, the richest source of coloured diamonds.

Naturally occurring coloured diamonds are so desirable, but also so rare, that scientists have developed processes to emulate their colours in laboratories, producing synthetic or enhanced stones, which cannot claim to be natural. The diamonds set in Colors of Africa
TM jewellery are always entirely natural, and therefore each and every diamond is one of
a kind. No-one will every own a diamond exactly like yours!
